Romantic relationships were something thatCommunity never put at the forefront of the show. Sure, the members of the Study Group dated many people throughout the series but it never happened amongst each other outside of a short season four stint between Troy and Britta. Still, fans had their favorite "ships" to root for.

One that picked up a ton of traction was between Annie and Jeff. Though their age gap is brought up quite often, the possibility of them being together was teased throughout and they even shared a few kisses. Fans of these two as a couple have a handful of episodes worth checking out again.
Debate 109 (Season 1, Episode 9)
Since this list will be done in chronological order, it begins with the first time these two seem like a possibility. To this point in the series, Jeff's focus was solely on hooking up with the "Hot Blonde from Spanish Class," Britta. Meanwhile, Annie was pining over Troy, who she had a crush on in high school.
This episode changes that as Annie gets Jeff to join her on the debate team. Abed makes student films that oddly predict the future and one sees Annie and Jeff kiss. When they find out, the sexual tension rises between the two, culminating in a smooch to win the debate.
Pascal's Triangle Revisited (Season 1, Episode 23)
Although there's a slight tease thanks to a look they share in "Romantic Expressionism," Annie and Jeff kind of stayapart for the rest of season one. She begins dating Britta's ex Vaughn, while he dates Professor Slater and eventually has sex with Britta after the paintball game.
In the season one finale, Annie contemplates transferring out of Greendale. At the transfer dance, Britta and Slater both publicly profess their love for Jeff, whoruns away without an answer. When hebumps into Annie outside, she explains she chose to stay and the two embrace before locking into an unexpected kiss.
Anthropology 101 (Season 2, Episode 1)
As the season two premiere, this deals with the fallout from the second Annie/Jeff kiss. Britta becomes a hero for her brave declaration of love, while Annie flirts with him only for him to reject it, saying the kiss was actually a mistake. To fix things, Jeff leans into it, starting a fake romance with Britta.
Abed attempts to throw them a wedding like a TVshow would and all the secrets come out. Annie punches Jeff for sleeping with Britta and making out with her.In the end, Annie says she finds Jeff kind of gross now butit doesn't stay that way for long.
Conspiracy Theories And Interior Design (Season 2, Episode 9)
The next time that Annie and Jeff's romancetakes center stagecomes in "Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design." It sees Jeff try to get an easy credit with a made-up class taught by Professor Professorson. However, a real teacher by that name shows up and goes along with Jeff's story.

The whole thing unravels with some absurd twists and turns, including Annie and Jeff bringing prop guns to a showdown. At one point, Annie points a gun at Jeff and references how he buried her like s shameful secret, blurring the lines between the truth and their weird conspiracy game.
Asian Population Studies (Season 2, Episode 12)
While on winter break, Annie met a guy she likes and Jeff doesn't seem jealous at first. That changes when he discovers that the guy is Rich, Jeff's nemesisfrom their past encounters in pottery class and on Halloween. Annie wants Rich to join the study group, causing Jeff to do something drastic.
He lobbies for Chang to join them instead, which is as ridiculous as it sounds. The situation blows up and leads to the revelation that Shirley had sex with Chang. Annie confronts Jeff and asks, "Either youwant me or you don't; what's it gonna be?" When he has no answer, she asks Rich out but he turns her down.
Paradigms Of Human Memory (Season 2, Episode 21)
Leave it toCommunity to put a spin on the "clip show" format. Instead of repeated moments, "Paradigms of Human Memory" flashes back to hilarious situations that the audience had never seen before, including the reveal that Jeff and Britta had been hooking up.
Annie makes note of the unspoken moments between herself and Jeff, leading to a montage set to "Gravity" by Sara Bareilles. It only shows them simply looking at each other but was done by creator Dan Harmon as a nod to a real Annie/Jeff shipping video he saw on YouTube with the same exact song.
Often viewed as the best episode in series history, "Remedial Chaos Theory" is phenomenal. At Troy and Abed's new apartment, Jeff rolls a die to see who goes downstairs to get pizza and Abed mentions that this creates six different timelines, which the viewers get to see unfold.

Some of these are inconsequential, some hint at the future, and some are downright chaotic. One notable timeline sees Annie check on a head wound Jeff gets when he bumps into the ceiling fan. While in close proximity, the two get to talking and ultimately share a rare kiss.
Regional Holiday Music (Season 3, Episode 10)
Going as far in as they could on theGlee parody, "Regional Holiday Music" sees most of the cast burst out into song. The study group is slowly pulled into performing at the Christmas pageant by the glee instructor like some kind of brainwashing.
When Annie becomes infected, she gets Jeff to join by singing to him. She does so dressed as a sexy Santa while singing "Teach Me How To Understand Christmas."It sees her seducehim and was a case of the show going all in on just how attractedAnnie is to Jeff.
Conventions Of Space And Time (Season 4, Episode 3)
When Dan Harmon departedCommunity, the new showrunners shifted some of the focus. While Britta and Troy got to shine as a real couple, Annie and Jeff seemed to be less of a romantic option. However, they somewhat moved to the forefront in "Conventions of Space and Time."While the episode does center on Troy, Britta, and Abed, the side story is all about Annie and Jeff.
Annie gets mistaken for Jeff's wife and plays along to anyone she meets at the hotel. Although it's not a good look for her, it does result in a sweet moment for the two asthey apologize and Jeff says that if she were his wife, he wouldn't be off flirting with a random woman at the bar.
Basic Sandwich (Season 5, Episode 13)
Even with Dan Harmonreturning for season five, the Annie/Jeff stuff wasn't as prominently back. That was okay because it allowed Annie to grow as a person. She was no longer some doe-eyed teen with a crush and was becoming her own confident woman. There were still hints like when they worked together to solve the case of the Ass Crack Bandit.
In the wacky season five finale, "Basic Sandwich," the Save Greendale Committee finds that theGreendale founder has been living in a sealed lab in the school. He has a computer named Raquel and when they're trapped with him, only an intense burst of emotion while connected to Raquel will set them free. Jeff makes it work when looking at Annie and thinking about her, showing that he has some legitimate love for her.
